If I buy a Kindle as a present for someone, it will obviously come down registered to me. I have looked on the Manage My Device site and it appears that Kindle have allocated an @kindle.com email address which is associated with my own device. How would I go about registering the gift device to someone else. I take it this is to do with the wi-fi delivery of books?

Just go into Settings>Registration and you can re register it. Its all explained in the guide on the Kindle as they obviously expect people to buy them as gifts.
"it will obviously come down registered to me"
Actually it will arrive unregistered.

Thanks both. I bought mine a couple of years ago so memory a bit hazy
I got mine a couple of months ago rojash and it came pre registered to me. There was an option when I bought for something like "is this a gift?" when presumably they don't pre register it.
