We have really low pressure in our hot tap in the bathroom. The cold is fine and the sink next to the bath is fine. What could this be? After looking on the internet i have gathered that I should clean the faucet aerator? I cant seem to see this on my tap. Any suggestions? Thanks

It's worth a try, Eggy................ they do get partially blocked quite often. Otherwise, it sounds like the valve inside the tap (faucet) has gone faulty.
This happens with my hot tap on the washbasin. The tap will not open fully. What i did was dismantle the tap to get at the valve. This is simple. Do not worry. Turn off the hot water supply. Plug the drain hole in the bath. When you have exposed the valve, take off the small open washer at the base of the valve. There will probably be lot of build up of gunge. Give it a good clean up. Give it a spray with with WD40 or clean it with a fine penetrating oil. Without reassembling it try opening the valve using the tap handle. I think you will find you can fully open it. Reassemble.

It worked for me.
A low hot water pressure is often caused by a clogged aerator or caused by sediment, rust, calcium deposits or other debris in the plumbing lines or faucets. All you have to do is remove the aerator with a pair of pliers. Tap it on the counter top and the inside parts will come out. Give it a good cleaning, put it back together and reinstall it. http://ibathtile.com
