OS10.4 Tiger

I told you I was a mug and would buy Tiger, and I have.
Safari RSS is a good step forward, The "Spotlight" search feature is amazing, I have not really noticed any other differences yet, (other than Dashboard, which is not very exciting) but it all works well. Are there any other new features I ought to be trying out? Any one else bought Tiger? Any one else got any thoughts on it?

Theres a nice little trick you can do with RSS and your screensaver� � Open System Preferences
� Select the Desktop & Screen Saver�s preference panel
� Click the Screen Saver tab
� In the list of available Screen Savers to the left, select �RSS Visualizer�
� After selecting RSS Visualizer, you�ll see a demo of the RSS screen saver in the
display to the right

By default, Tiger's RSS screen saver calls up news items from Apple's Hot News RSS
feed. If you want to select a different screen saver:
� Click the Options button
� A sheet slides out, displaying a list of other "pre-ordained" RSS sites which you
can choose from
� Select a feed (for example, the "O'Reilly Network" feed)
� Click the Done button
� To see what the screen saver looks like, click the Test button

Smart mailboxes in Mail, also the slideshow effect when somebody send a bunch of pics. In fact Mail looks a lot more "grown up".

Automator looks like it is a freindlier implementation of Applescript, and could take the grind out of dull repetitive tasks, but I haven't tried to do anything with it yet.

I agree dashboard widgets are a lot of fluff, and I can already see some really ugly desktops crammed with useless stuff! However along with expose it does make Windows users drool!

iPhoto & iDVD are good incremental upgrades.

On the whole, does it warrrant the hype? Probably not, but it is a good, stable decent upgrade imho!
