Transferring files to Nokia 6230

I want to transfer files to my nokia from my pc via bluetooth, but when i try it fails as there is not enough free space on my handset. How do I force it to transfer files imediatley to the phones memory card which has a lot more space.

Can you move the data already on the phone to the memory card and then transfer the files from your pc?

Bluetooth transfer only allows certain amounts of data through. Some larger ringtones of graphics just won't go through. You are better dismanlting the phone and putting the files on the memory card using a multi card reader or similar. These are much cheaper than a data cable.
