I bought a ipad 2 in October and when i go to download some Apps its telling me i have to have ios5 . How do i get this many thanks

Sync it to your iTunes.

You can do a manual update over your wifi, go into settings, then into software update. Be warned though it will take an age and will drain about 50% of your battery, better to do it through your PC on iTunes.
