At the end of the Land of Leather advert the writing reads something like "Pay nothing for a year...max age 75" Surely this is discrimination?

But then you could say that about life insurance policies that only cover folks from age 50 onwards.........

I guess they have to cover their backsides somehow - after all, 75 is a ripe old age to be buying an (expensive) leather sofa and I guess they wanna get at least some money out of the customer before they die!!! (No offence to anyone intended.

As far as I know the government has not yet passed a legislation to make ageism illegal.  Unfortunately they also haven't made lying in adverts illegal either like 'targets only the grey'!

plus, i think it's up to the company who they do and do not accept for credit.... its not like its an essential service.  You might as well say they are prejudice against poor people, or those with a bad credit history
