Auto watch repairs?

A friend has tried to get his Auto watch repaired without any luck, I would love to sort this out for him, he has contacted the Japan Makers & they do not have the parts, has anyone got any contacts? I would be greatfull as this person has gone through a bad truma with the loss of his wife & this watch was bought for him from his late wife. Thanks all who reply.

If the makers themselves don't have the parts, I think you may be stuck.

why not give timpsons a try they do watch repairs snent both my watches there and was really leased with the service.

I've yet to try Timpsons Nanny, thank you both, I have had a watch repaired there but I will see what comes up on here as this watch I understand is very Expensive.

You may (eg through Timpsons) find someone who will make you a part - won't be cheap though.

Hi again Craft, sorry in my delayed responce, his watch is a Seiko, do you have any futher details of the watch? Seirial Nos etc? & is it for sale? can you tell me the markings if any/ Thank you Craft.

I should have added, it's an automatic winder, is the one you have the same as?

my 'top of the range' automatic kept stopping. Mortgage prices to send away for repair. I dipped a cocktail stick into car engine dip-stick & dripped into watch winder - works a treat :)

I'm not too sure of the full cause of his watches problem Tam, but he did say it was something to do with the Automatic Winder, this watch is ver dear to him as his wife bought it for him a while back & he has not got the patience, time, & cannot fully understand the www to find things out where to look, I've taken it on myself to do it for him I'm hoping Craft will contact me as she has an old Auto winder Seiko & I just hope its the same type.
