How would i increase the performance of one of my games without buying ram or changing any graphics settings? (if thats possible) Thanks Anyway

For the most part, you probably can't, although it depends what aspect of performance you want to increase. If you want to make load times a little faster then defragging your hard drive might help, but more RAM is usually the way to go. (For modern games you'll want at least 512MB for optimal performance, possibly more).

For you framerate (i.e. how smoothly the game plays), make sure you're using the latest drivers for your graphics card (if it's a GeForce or Radeon card). Make sure there are as few programs running in the background as possible. Either of these will only produce small performance gains (if any) however. Better graphics need better graphics cards to run them well unfortunately. It's just the way things are in the world of PC gaming.
You could also change the settings in the game. Use a lower resolution, no ant-aliasing etc. These will make big differences, but at the cost "lower" looking graphics.
