My husband wants a kindle or kobo which are both wi-fi but the computer isn't. What do I have to do to get wi-fi and is it expensive. I am with Virgin for internet and Firefox.with windows xp. Computer is very slow as it is at the moment Am considering malwarebytes too

Have Virgin supplied you with just a modem, or do you also have a router? These may be the same device.

If you have a router, chances are it is wireless anyway - a quick call to VM will confirm.

If not, then there are literally hundreds of wired / wireless routers available, depending on what equipment you have already.

If you can provide the manufacturer and EXACT model number, we can look it up for you...
Virgin MAY supply you a free wi fi enabled router if you have not already got one.
