XCEL 2010 on Windows 7-Setting a Standard Format

Is there anyway of setting a standard format for ALL new Xcel workshhets ie Font style and size etc. Also if I select a new colour,one that is not in the standard selection, can it be saved permently so that it appears at all times from there on when selecting a colour. Thanks for any help.

If you open Excel, click on File, scroll down to Options and you can set everything as you want it in there. It will keep it for all new sheets.
or maybe 'save as' .xlt template ?
