Every time i try I get 'no input signal' on t.v. screen. It says dolby digital on front of dvdr. I'm a 'thicko' with vcr's/dvdr's thanx for help,

I've been struggling, without success, to find the specifications of the SEG DVDR500 but, given the dates of the web pages which refer to it, I'm guessing that it's only got an analogue tuner inside it. (The 'Dolby digital' refers solely to its audio-handling capabilities). If so, it can't handle digital TV signals; you'll need to get a new set-top box. (Around £18 in Asda or £19 in Tesco).
