Charts Excel 2010

I have a existing chart created several years ago on my old computer on which I want to increase the data range of the horizontal data. Have spent many hours trying to use the various help pages but with my very poor eyesight have not got anywhere can anyone help. Thanks in advance.

I don't use 2010, but try right clicking on the chart outside the actual data area. That should give you a menu, one option of which will be Source Data. You should be able to edit it within that.

Don't know about 2010 but on 2003 this is what I do

Select the chart you want to modify
From the top menu bar left click to open the Chart drop-down
One of the options will be Source Data - select it
In the resulting form make the changes you want.
