Blackberry torch Roaming

My torch has not workrd properly during my recent trip in Europe. It recives mail and calls but will not send emails. Vodaphone says it is a blackberry programme fault.
Has anyone else experienced this. Vodaphone wont change my phone either.
Any ideas?
