been reading a bit about it. Apparently theres an EU enforced volume cap on models destined for the European market. Do you have any problems with the max volume level.

When did you buy it? Think this legislation was enforced early 2010
I have had a couple of Ipods and presently also have a Iphone but a few years ago I bought a Ipod shuffle 1gb model, no display just volume / forward & back buttons, drag and drop files within Itunes. it is still in regular use on my motorcyle had been through all weathers including a 60 degree was in the washing machine and still going strong.
Not had a problem with the volume.

Saw on some web sites than when you set it up just say you are in a non-EU country and the volume is not restricted.

But I said I was in UK and have not noticed a volume problem.

btw There is some software to install, but once that is installed you can drag and drop between the PC and the mp3 player.

I had never had one before and found it very easy to move music from PC to mp3 player.
