How do you fit a cookerhood?

I'm having a new kitchern and I want a cooker hood - type that's stainless steel with a curved glass bit at the bottom. I don't want it vented to the outside just re-circulate. How does it fit on to the wall - is it just screwed and the top bit fit against the ceiling. Is it difficult to fit? Many thanks.
