I need a laptop mainly for surfing the net and was advised against buying a netbook I have up to £400 to spend but would obviously prefer the cheaper the better. What exactly should I be looking for and are some brands better than others?

Thanks all. I'm still looking and may get an MSI CR630 Triple Core 250GB 15.6 Inch Laptop from Argos but still researching first.
Tesco's Dell Multicore processor, Windows7 laptops are good buys at the moment.
