I have a facility that allows me to Save As ...a word document - have you tried that? it's sometimes a slightly different format from the pdf but does mean you can type into the form.

I tried it, but it wont even open as a word doc
Google for "Filloutaform.exe", I think that will work on PDFs.
You could try this http://www.pdfescape.com/ but haven't given it a go personally.
Try 'select all' on the PDF; open Word & 'paste special' and choose Acrobat file. I dont think you can type on it tho.
I use this site to convert it to Word. They then just email it back to you.

Just checked on "filloutaform.exe" and it only works on .BMP files.
Sorry.
Foxit reader supports forms..

though if it's a job application most places want it filled out by hand.
Open pdf with irfanview (freeware graphic editor program). Use mouse to highlight area where text is needed. Select Edit menu. Select Insert text into selection. Save as pdf.
