I bought some wma singles from TescoDownloads.com. I can play them on my windows Me computer using Media player 9 Series version9.00.00.3075 with no problems but when I try to burn them to CD using the burn to CD or device option in media player I get the message  "Windows Media Player has encountered an unknown error". When I click on the web help button under this message it gives the code for the error as COOD11CD. I also have Nero 5 Burning Rom version OEM 5.5.5.2 so I tried using that so using the wizzard I click compile cd then audio cd then finish, but when I try to drag the files into the relevant pane I get the message Nero can not  read this file ok. however it will let me drag them accross if I do it as a  data CD. Can you help as I dont want to lose them.

I have nero 6 so try upgrading so that you have this version and there is a section so that you can make WMA discs. Try that.
Maybe the files are protected to that you can't burn them to an audio disc?
If this is the case then convert them to unprotected mp3's first, then to audio CDs:

Thankyou to both of you for replying so quickly I shall look into both these solutions and see how I get on Cheers!

I have looked at both these options but neither are for me i'm sorry to say.I'm on a tight budget so upgrading to Nero 6 is too expensive an option for me.As for the other solution the programme given is shareware and as I'm on a payg dial upconnection it seems too expensive to download something that lasts only 30 days. I bought the wma's in the first place as they were cheaper than cd singles. Thank you both any way I'm very greatful for your advice. I think I'll make a data copy that way i'll always have a copy thanks again.
