Mouse and system Restore not functionning correctly

This is a little long winded so I'll itemise the events
1 I wanted to deinstall Imesh. As it wouldn't do it via Delete programmes I decided to System restore to a date before it was installed.
2 Did the S/R but the mouse wouldn't function
3 Reverted it back to the current date but all programmes and downloads were gone and it looked like it had reverted to when I originally bought the PC eg no music in WMP and no pictures in Picassa. Although the mouse DID work.
4 Reverted back to a previous date which reintroduced my progs but once again the mouse wouldn't work.
5. restored back to the present date, same as 3, but it will not let me use S/R to a previous month.
I'm at my wits end and widh I'd never heard of Imesh.
Any ideas would be appreciated. ( no silly comments please )

have you tried revo uninstaller? It's free and pretty good for removing stubborn programmes. If your system is back to date and running ok, you could try it.
