USB uploading problems

I have run into problems uploading data to my PC via handheld devices. I have a Garmin running watch thing from which I normally upload data from my runs, and I also use a digital dictation device for work, which I can connect at home to upload dictation onto our work system.

Been using both for years, no probs. suddenly, I can't upload data from either. When the Garmin played up, I just thought it was broken, but now the dictaphone is doing it as well. Both conect via a USB port to upolad.

The PC recognises the devices, but the data will not transfer. I have tried different USB cables and 2 different ports, same result.

Any thoughts?

You've tried everything that I would normally have suggested. All that would seem to be left would be a registry error. Run System Restore, to return your PC's registry to the state which it was in at a date prior to the start of the problem.

Good luck!
