Just lately, every time I type in a link to a website address of an organisation I wish to promote on the facebook group that I administrate, not only does the web address show, but also the logo of that organisation. One of these organisations has written to me to threaten me with legal action for using their registered trademark. I can't stop this from happening, it appears to happen automatically. Given that it is the Facebook platform that is causing this to happen, is anyone breaking the law here. I am not doing this for any personal gain, just wanting to promote to my group various organisations and campaigns that I am interested in and I know they will be interested in also. I don't want to stop linking to this organisation because many of the members are interested in its activities.

Before you post the link, look at the area below it where the logo has appeared. There is an option not to display a thumbnail so you need to select this before you actually post the link.
