Protected Mode query

My pc says "protected mode : off" but my friend's says "on" Is it safe to give bank details etc. Am I protected? If it should say "on" how do I change it.

I don,t know that one, but if you use "trusteer Rapport" Every page you want protected can be done with a single click. It,s free and reccommended by ALL the banks... John
