Is there any way to improve my internet connection?

I have really poor reception, if that's the right word, and ISP provider has basically told us there are no plans to improve in the near future.

I probably should say it's BT.

Does it depend where you live, how good your connection is? BT should tell you if there is poor coverage, another provider might be better for you.

you have to wait for them to upgrade, I went to virgin instead, a LOT better.

We're in a valley and can hardly get a mobile phone signal let alone internet. They offered us a dongle but that would only be of use away from the valley.i.e. Taking the netbook to a better reception area however I don't relish the thought of driving around looking for a stronger reception! I suppose it's better than nothing.

I would waste any money on a dongle unless you are desperate. They just aren't good enough at the moment.

You 'would'nt' waste money on a dongle? (think that's what you meant.). Am not desperate as we can both access the internet at work, it's annoying as we're paying for a service that's unreliable. I'm going to see about cancelling the contract when we go back tomorow now.
