how can i check if my internet provider services are working

hi i can get conncted to the internet, as obviously i am here, however, i cannot get my home page up or get my emails in, i use virgin, anyone else experiencing problems. i can open yahoo and everything else thanks

HI, I'm also with Virgin and can't get to my e-mails. Everything else is OK so I can only surmise that Virgin are having a few problems today. Suggest you leave things alone for a while and try later.

If you can access Virgin Media, under the Help section of their website they have a service status section whereby you can see National Issues as well as technical issues in your local area.

If you can't access the site for whatever reason, you can call 0800 561 0061 which is their automated service status number which will tell you if there are any problems in your local area.
