Google Chrome - Saving Background Images

As a fairly new user to Google Chrome, I have become rather displeased in that saving a background image is no longer used as it is with other web browsers. The simple 'Right-click and save image as' isn't available on Chrome and it annoys me.

There are many people who are dismayed by the problem but I am wondering why it hasn't been opted for use. I am also wondering how I may be able to save a background image with absence to a known method.

Thanks

Oh, how strange...
Have you downloaded anything to assist? Or is it an older form of Chrome (or perhaps newer..)
My version is 2.0.172. I haven't downloaded anything extra for it. Can I have a link to a webpage you are having problems with?

Mine's the same version. Hmm

Well with YouTube for example, I am unable to right-click on a background and save it (because some people have really awesome backgrounds).
and could you save these using another browser?
They are maybe protected on the website.
If you have an address with one of these images on, I will see if I can save it.
