I got some emails from someone claiming to be "a friend" and was wondering if there is anyway I could trace them to find out who it was.

It was sent from an email address in a false name but it was definitely sent by a person and not spam (it contained lots of details of my past, family, relationships etc). I have a fair idea of who it is but would like to know if there's any way I could make sure?

You have no way of tracing the sender, except reporting them to the email domain for malicious intent.
Phone them?

There was no malicious intent though, so I couldn't really report them for that.

How could I phone them with an email address???
The suggestion was,if you think you know who it might be try a few folks you have numbers for
