Just had a new CD rom fitted to my desktop and since I have had it back from the shop I cannot connect to the Internet on our laptop. Is there anything I should do to "re-connect" the network ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming that you have a normal wireless (or wired) router, then your PC is not involved in your laptop's connection in any way whatsoever, so the fact that the problem has arisen now must surely be pure coincidence.

Assuming it is wireless... does the wireless light glow?
You know of course, that many laptops have a slideswitch on the bottom to switch the wireless on or off.

Thanks for your answers. Wildwood - yes the switch is the on position and the light is on.
