my 80gig ipod video needs sorting!!

help!! i have an 80 gig ipod video that has stopped charging through usb, charges fine with plug, freezes after charging and doesnt turn off just comes back on after it goes off. ive reset it and updated it and done everything i can think of but its still the same anybody got any idea of whats wrong?

Check the cable and check that the USB socket on your computer is working properly. If possible, try it on another computer.

Make sure you have the latest ipod software installed. You can check this in iTunes when you first connect.

If problems persist, make sure you library is up-to-date on your host computer and do a restore on your iPod. This will wipe everything off but should correct any faults. Then re-upload your stuff.
