Can somebody please tell me what Java consists of.

I am always receiving info asking me to download the latest Java updates but I've got no idea what I use Java for.

Can anybody please help.

JAVA is a programming language.Its mainly used for games but also for animations viewed on the internet.

...plus there are an increasing number of small applications that use Java. JDisk view is one that shows pie graphs of how the space on your hard disk is allocated.
