What is needed when I leave an ISP Provider

Can someone on answerbank tell me what I ask for when leaving one ISP and going to another please.

If you're moving to another ISP, you will need to ask for a MAC code. This you will provide to your new isp. Most ISP's are helpful. Clearly they don't want you to leave, but if your decision is final, they should provide you with this within 48 hours.

If you are currently on Virgin cable broadband you don't need a MAC code or anything - just give them notice of cancellation.

This is because it doesn't use your telephone line

Thankyou Ethel,I didn't get any reminder from answerbank telling me that someone else had put something else on. No I am on AOL,and yes as the VillageVicar states I do need a Mac code,and have now got one.
