e-Bay question......why do some items not show photo next to them?

Why is it that some items have a photo to the left and some have an icon of a camera which you can clic on to see the photo? I've just started selling on ebay so want people to notice the items, which is much more likely to happen if they see a photo as they scan down the page. it's just too much hassle to keep clicking on the camera icon to open up the photo.

To get a small photo to show alongside your item in the listings, you need to use the 'gallery' feature, from the 'listing upgrades' menu. It costs 15p per item.
