hi, you might get this answred in another section quicker .. i've dfinately seen it answered on business and finance before
Is it to omit the options 1 surly youth 2 misery with no intention of offering help 3 put you on hold as this is a pound a minute - while I eat kitkat in peace, type of thing!!!!

A good way to bypass this - is to press no options at all, but put your fingers over mouthpiece so no noise is detected. After telling you it can NOT detect a choice they will find next operator or cut you off.
In the days when I was plagued by NTL (I've blown them out now) I found that what sense4all says worked. Just don't press anything. Or, you could try www.saynoto0870.com
see what they come up with.

Basically two kind of phones are used in call centers, Soft phones which is connected to your computer directly and another one is hard phone its a land line wired phone called avaya.

Shortcuts to be used in avaya varies from company to company. It depends on the setting saved by it department. In soft phone shortcuts are available on your computer screen only, there are tabs for break, hold, meeting aux and training aux You can avail them directly from there.

For more information contact us on http://www.go4customer.com/au/
Shortcuts vary company to company. Generally IT team is responsible for creating the shortcuts and they can change it accordingly. If one is using Avaya then aux+assigned number is used for meetings, breaks etc. Now a days basic shortcuts are already available on phone itself.
