Internet access with mobile pgone

I have a new Sony Ericsson mobile. No problem with texting and taking photos, but I haven't discovered how to get on to the internet side of it to send emails, pics. and to download anything. It tells me to create a new profile with 'Name' and 'Connect using'. Does that mean just any name? and what does it expect me to use for 'connect using' - an email address, phone number, URL or what? Can anyone help please?

Usually if you go online to your network provider they should have the WAP / GPRS settings which you can enter into your phone to enable WAP etc etc.
