Microsoft automatic updates with FireFox

Iv'e just switched from IE to FireFox. Can anyone tell me if the Microsoft Security and critical updates will still downlload automatically.

I have been using firefox for at least two years and get all the updates when I turn the computer off.

IE should still be on your system, so everything should be ok.

It'll still happily download automatically for you, if you use that. However, you can't goto www.windowsupdate.com with firefox and manually do it yourself: you need to open IE instead and do that.
