When answering questions I look up helpful websites and put these in the answer.
It would be good if they turned into 'blue clickies' as they do when I email.
Is there something I should do that I don't know about?

Hey dancecaller!

You have to ensure you put in the http:// at the start.

Hey dancecaller,

Do you mean posting a website? If so, click on the http address (like whiskey says), click 'Cut', then when posting on here click again and click on 'Paste'...the webpage will then be shown in blue, but on submitting show in red, like this: http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/AB-Suggestions/ Question296756.html

If this isn't what you meant - just ignore this completely as the rantings of an old woman!!
It can be shortened of course to:

If you click on Tutorial at the bottom of this page and then scroll down to "Posting Guidelines" it'll show you what all to do.
also, I think you have to hit the space bar after the URL... at least, I do... darned if I can remember why, maybe I've been doing it wrong...
Not sure if things have changed since the last technical revamp, jno, but the site always used to insert an unwanted paragraph break rendering posted links useless.

Like this < p > (mind the gaps).
AnswerBank dropped Rich Text Format for posts about 3 months ago. An RTF quirk meant that rogue HTML tags were appended to any links not immediately followed by a space. This is no longer an issue so the 'space' is not required.
ah, right, I can save myself several keystrokes a month then. Must have been force of habit. Kindly ignore my previous post, dancecaller, and concentrate on the superior advice offered by everyone but me.
