Hi anyone else having problems with firefox this evening? took ages to open & now the status bar is about 4 times as high as usual

firefox runs on your own machine, so no-one else will be having a problem with it just because you are. hence, it's working great for me.
have you recently installed a new extension or something that may have changed the status bar, and caused it to load slowly?
click on the start button and goto the programs->mozilla firefox. click the "mozilla firefox (safe mode)" icon. it should work nice and fast but with none of your personal settings. if so, the problem's with your firefox profile.

All back to normal now. I had removed a couple of extensions earlier & it was fine for a while . I opened it in safe mode as you suggested then switched back to normal & now it's fine . My broadband connection keeps going down though & my mobile packed up earlier . just 1 of those days i guess! Thanks for your time fo3nix
