just been chatting to a woman from new zealand on FB and she says she has a wireless modem 4G broadband internet, that she just plugs a power cord into a normal 3 pin socket and its ready to go - no other wires, no phone line needed at all. its then just normal wireless, you can connect anything to it.
does anyone know of a company that does that here?
i am looking to move from virgjn, but struggling to find any that dont want to come and install a new phone line.
thanks :)

That sounds like a mi-fi device that accepts a mains adapter. Most mobile service providers offer them:

You should note however that
(a) getting your data over a mobile connection, rather than through a landline one, can be quite expensive ; and
(b) most modern smartphones can do exactly the same job anyway.
