Try booting into Safe Mode (via pressing F8 during the initial boot sequence) and then running System Restore to take your PC's registry back to a date before the problem occurred.

If that seems to work, then run a full scan with your security software and with the free version of Malwarebytes
https://www.malwarebytes.com/antimalware/
(NB: If you need to install Malwarebytes note that, at the end of the process, you'll encounter a pre-ticked box inviting you to take a free trial of the Premium version. Ensure that you deselect that option before proceeding).
A further thought:
If the problem only occurs when your browser is open then it seems likely that it's just your browser that's been attacked (rather than your PCs registry as a whole). Simply uninstalling your browser, and then reinstalling it, would probably fix the problem.

Thanks Buenchico I had done a Malware scan and nothing found. As regards the Restore I had in a previous post had asked how I could do a resore fow Windows 10 but so far still unable to do it. I suspect this could have been a scam for the user to phone this site up and they would then ask for a payment to "clean" your computer of this so-called non-existant virus.
Aaagh!

Ruddy Windows 10!

Microsoft normally turn everything in their software 'on' by default. So, for example, trying to type a numbered list the way that I want to do it in Microsoft Word is an absolute pain because Word comes with automatic numbering and indenting turned on (and thus tries to make my list look as Microsoft's programmers think that it ought to, rather than as I want it to be).

However, with Windows 10, the one thing which really, really needs to be turned 'on' by default (System Restore) is turned 'off' when you first install the operating system! So no restore points are created until you've turned the ruddy thing on (which, for most people, is too late because something's already gone wrong before they find that out!)

As I wrote before though, if the problem's only present when your browser is open, uninstalling it (and then reinstalling it) is likely to fix the problem.
