When I had outlook express my pictures used to be a reasonable size when I emailed them. Now I cannot get O.E. (Windows7) my pics are much smaller when I click on the slideshow. My daughter sends me her pics which seem to average 2.6mb each whereas mine are about 50KB. I don't understand MB's and KB's but just want to know how I can do that please. I have tried Skydrive, Picasa and Live but they are all the same. When I asked her she says she just sends them with Virgin e.mail but I think you have to be a customer to register and I am with BT :0( Hope someone can help -rosy

MB/KB are simple measures of how much data there is (in the picture file0.

Are you saying you see the picture when looking at the e-mail rather than have them as attachments ? You mention clicking on slideshow so I suspect not.

If they are attachments the size shown will be down to the picture viewer. Does the "slideshow" have a zoom control ?

You pictures clearly have much more data that your daughter's which implies they are probably much bigger (or much more detailed). The issue does seem to be with your slideshow viewer. You pictures should be vastly larger than the ones your daughter sends you.

Thank you for replying OG.I see one picture when I open the email and the rest are small attachments, and I can't find a zoom control. My friend says that they are a good size on her ipad but they seem to be smallish(ish) on other peoples computers, they are bigger than the attachments size but just not as big as I used to have in O.E. and I preferred those, but as you say, it might be my slideshow viewer but I don't know what to do about that :0( thanks again -rosy
