I've created a document in Publisher and although I haven't deliberately inserted it, a very small smiley face appears on the print-out. I can't delete it as it doesn't show on the document on my screen.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice on how to remove it would be much appreciated. Thanks peeps.

(Don't know if it's relevant but I have Windows 7 Home Premium).

Thanks very much Methyl. The problem is I have a lot of objects in the same area, close together (a row of very small flowers, each flower individually pasted into the document) and as I can't actually see the face on the screen, I can't delete it without also deleting some of the flowers that surround it.

I think I'll have to redo the whole thing. I just find it strange how the little smiley face has appeared when I didn't type it in. :o/
Try this:
First of all zoom right in (go to something like 200% on the oom option) so you can look in detail.
Right-click on one of the objects 'in the way' and choose 'order > send to back'

Then you might be able to click on the smiley and delete it.

Other thing is, it might be a watermark in one of the images you copied.

Thanks Mosaic, I'll give it a go. I don't think it is a watermark though, as I made the flowers using the "shapes" that come with Publisher, rather than use an actual picture of a flower.
I am a complete novice at this so forgive my eccentricity, can you copy & paste your particular page into M/S Word & then try moving stuff about in order to delete the particular bit you don't want ?

Thanks Ron. I've sorted it by doing as Mosaic suggested, although I don't know if I clicked "send to back" or "bring to front" or "send backwards" or "bring forwards" - it's very confusing for an old duffer like me but it seems to have worked, thankfully. I do wonder if it is still there and I've just covered it up, but no matter as long as it doesn't print out.

Thanks again peeps, much appreciated. x
