Whenever I send myself emails I never get them. In the past I used to receive them but now I don't know what is going on.

I have not used PayPal in over a year maybe two. Yesterday I tried using it and could not log in. I thought perhaps I had forgotten my password (impossible because I have it written down) and requested to make a new one.

PayPal's instructions were they would send me a code and I use that code to help in the process of creating a new password. I never received the code although it was sent to me. I did the creating password about six times and never got the emails with the codes.

I then called PayPal and spoke to someone who verified all my information, and they give me a code, and also emailed me it to create a password. I still never got this email either.

My questions are -
1. where did these email go, what happened to them?
2. And if supposedly these emails went to someone else, could they use the code to do get into my PayPal account, eventually?

Thanks for looking at my question, and for your help.

Who is your email with?
Have you checked your Spam Folder?
Question Author
Yahoo. And yes, I check spam folder always before emptying. Thanks
Ok, just eliminating possibilities...
Sorry if this is a dull question but, have you changed your email address since you last used Pay Pal, they may have sent it there?
Question Author
No haven't the PayPal email address. The Paypal person verified my email address.

I am not receiving emails from this particular email address from myself; this is so strange. I use gmail, and another yahoo email address and receive emails from myself from those.

Thank you for trying to help me solve this.
Maybe you have inadvertently set your email up to block these emails or send them direct to Trash. Check your Trash folder

Factor, I always check spam and trash folders before emptying. But thanks for the suggestion.
Is you e-mail provider removing them as opposed to the e-mail client on your PC ? Check at your website e-mail access.

"Check at your website e-mail access. "

O-Geeze, how or where do I check this? I am using Yahoo.
I guess you're using something like Windows LiveMail, or Outlook Express?

Just to rule out the possibility that they are being deleted/lost at your end...... do you know how to check the Webmail that's held on your Provider's servers until you download them?
Go to yahoo.com or yahoo.co.uk as appropriate. Click on the 'log in'. Use your login and password (same one your client uses). Click on 'mail'. Then check for anything that says "Settings" I'd guess.
BT Yahoo?

No, but give me a clue where to start and I'll give it a try.

Thank you Builder.
In fairness I don't see a "settings" option.
But you can check the 'spam' and 'trash' folders.

To check my Yahoo email,
- I go to yahoo homepage
- then click on mail and put my id and password.
- Page opens to inbox.
Other folder links to the left ?
Ah it sounds as if you aren't normally using a client on your PC then, but going to the website as normal procedure ?

Not sure then. Check the spam folder anyway.
Look for a picture of a cog near the top of the screen (top right hand corner on mine)
Hover over that and you'll see a list of options- it may be Mail options. Look at those

You are right Geezer, I don't ever use mail clients. I get my emails from logging in directly from their various websites.
