plusnet is good
im on tesco cos half price for 1 year no probs so far and a uk helpline
we have talk-talk no problem!
I would always recommend BT. BT still provide nearly all telephone lines in Britain today. Even if you go with some broadband provider that nobody has ever heard of, the physical line will still be provided by BT.

Even if you have your Broadband connection with the Fluffy Bunny Internet Company, you will still need to pay for a BT telephone line.

Don't get confused by all the vans driving around with "Openreach" on the side...its still BT whatever this weeks name has been changed to !

I have had a BT line for nearly 40 years and an internet connection since 1994. I have always found them to be reliable.

The cheapest isn't always the best.
TalkTalk is cheap and I have found them to be very good. Have a look at their website. If you pay line rental up front for a year in advance you get it for £9.50/month.

you dont pay bt for the line if you let your broadband provider take it over (if that option is there,it is with plusnet )as ladybird said you can get the phone line £'s cheaper if you pay one year in advance
I have been with BT from the days it was ' Post Office Telephones' and will continue with it's services for the reasons as given by mikey4444.

Having said that, I feel sure that Plusnet is good, because it is a subsidiary of BT. As for the others ....???
