I have been trying to download Windows Media so I can burn my cds but have got stuck.Can anybody please recommend a site for burning cds

You could try Real Player, very easy to use:

I sometimes use Nero. This usually comes with your system when you buy your computer. You can also copy DVDs with Nero.

ITUNES...

I have found this free CD Burner package to be a good option.
