"Why ArgosCompare.co.uk?

Argos has been bringing you low prices on everything from TVs to toasters for over 35 years. So why wouldn't we do the same with our new price comparison website? Search ArgosCompare.co.uk now and you'll find 100's of famous big brands, great choice and low prices on everything from money, insurance, energy and more."

I'm surprised you didn't just google it.
ask100, what is the "from" address of these emails?

The address is:

Argos Compare [[email protected]]

One of the links it tries to get me to go to is: [Edited]
scam, don't go there. Nothing to do with Argos, obviously. In fact if you don't mind I'm going to report your post, because it takes people to a scam site.
Jno is right - I've had this email & it's nothing to do with Argos.

Sorry, I didn't think that that would happen.
no probs, ask100, and the post hasn't been removed anyway. But I think anyone clicking on the link might be alarmed.

I fell for a similar scam recently and even asked a question about it

so I totally sympathise!
argoscompare.co.uk is owned by Argos. It would appear to be genuine

http://who.is/whois/argoscompare.co.uk/
email.argosfinancialservices.com appears to be genuinely Argos.

What was that edited link please? Post it without the "http" at the front and then it won't turn into a link that people can click on ...

The link was as here:
tml

There are others all with German looking names
Hope this does not do further harm.
OK, yep, that looks bad. DO NOT VISIT THAT URL!!!

It would appear that weingut-ungerer.de is a genuine site that has been hacked to contain malware.
And then a spammer has masqueraded as Argos in order to get you to visit that site. A slur on both Argos and weingut-ungerer.de ...
Idiot probably thinks it is like Harrods : )
