Lost Letter I typed yesterday in Publisher

I typed a letter yesterday in M/Publisher ,when I finished I pressed SAVE ,the problem is I cannot find it ,I have looked in My Docs ,so far no luck .
I would be very grateful for any ideas.

On the Start menu there's usually a Seach and find option. Try typing a key word into that and it should search all drives.

Or open a new doc and save again to see where it saves.
Maybe in root of My Docs.

Are you sure it was not typed in Word rather than Publisher?

If you have an 'existing' document open .. well yes.
If a new one not previously saved .. Nope.

write a dummy one & file as before, to see where it goes - probably in your temp files.

Unless youre on windows 7 and then some bright spark has decided that we don't need to see file extensions anymore so the OP will have to go into the file settings and de tick the box which says 'hide file extensions'
