I'm using IE7 and am thinking of updating to IE8. If I then wanted to uninstall IE8 would it automatically revert back to IE7? The reason I'm asking is that I have some musical items (MIDI files) on a website and wouldn't want to find that sound didn't play. Thanks.

Thanks Chris. There seems to be more to it than I had imagined, but it's probably worth a try. I'll sleep on it and have another look in the morning.
I would migrate to IE8 it is a very stable and will do all that you need . You can use it in compatitbility mode which can open and display all web sites. With IE9 about to be released it would be wise to move now.
