I have a Canon ixus 100 IS and have recorded some video footage on it. How can I view this?

I have tried 'Open with' Windows media player but it doesn't recognise it. Any advice gratefully received.

what does the file end in (should be something like .wmv)
VLC plays most things thrown at it.

It says it is an MOV file... named MVI_1307...?
