I am trying to open a design drawing using Adobe but it comes up saying it can't recognise AtrialMT font. How do I get the text on the drawing to come up?

A guess:
you're using a MAC and the document was created by Windows.
ArialMT is a Microsoft TrueType font, so probably won't be on your MAC.
You'll have to get the font and install it , or use a PC to open the document.

Nope,using a PC with Windows. How do I find the right font?

I would download and use Foxit Reader instead of Adobe Reader as it can open any thing it is a very good program and is free
