When I turned my laptop on today I can no longer see pictures or avatars. I just get a blank box with the red cross in the corner. How do I restore it so I can see pictures again please. Thanks for any help.

And I did type all that in the question box. What is going on??

Your PC is either unable to to get picture data from the URL where the picture files reside, or maybe your firewall or someting is blocking it.

Have you tried a reboot ?

Yes OG, still not working. Very odd! I haven't done anything different. I think it's something to do with IE but don't know how to fix it.

You could try a programs/accessories/system tools/system restore

Or maybe reinstall IE.

But wait a while first in case the ISP is having blocking problems of some sort. If all the problem is, is pictures, no need to panic yet.

Thanks OG for your help. Restored system and seems to be ok now. I will keep my fingers crossed it lasts.
