Probably sausage and mash - we had our roast chicken dinner last night, with treacle pudding and custard!

Morning jth, did you see I was being cloned in SAB?
That's why I mentioned to you, yesterday, that I thought you had 'gone over to the dark side'.........
On closer inspection, I realised that it wasn't you.

Don't go over there, bobbi, they'll only try to corrupt you ;o)

I will bare that in mind jack
Bobbi, thanks for asking - we have been away on hol, had a fabulous week in Morocco, so the roast dinner last night was a "return to normal" meal! LOL @ jack, yes the custard did make a bit of a mess of the brocolli, but hey it all goes down the same way...!
Were having a BarbQ. About 4 so that would be our dinner. Not tea.
Question Author
Morocco, very nice boxy x
Question Author
suvvener maggie?
LOL
And you have barbie weather?
God knows..............the daughter is 'kindly' dragging me to B&Q at 1pm so I may not last out until dinner-time :-(
eeee oooooooooop....finally differentiated between tea & dinner - lol
Roast beef and Yorkshire pud, then either strawberries or apple pie and ice cream
I'm having sardines on toast for my midday meal then this evening if I'm not out I will probably have ham egg and chips!
Meal Definitions (in my book) - anyone else can call it what they like but I am from the sarf via Glasgow and Birmingham....

Lunch - what you eat in the middle of the day
Tea - what you eat just after you come in from work (I got to call it this when I lived North of Watford for many years)
Dinner - instead of tea, and a bit more formal, usually sitting at the table!! We would go out to dinner - out to tea would mean sarnies.

Also, for a reason I can't fathom, my sister calls her evening meal Supper, whatever time she has it or whether she eats casual or formal. Now if I was thinking of calling anything supper, it would be a really late snack (sandwich, cake, beans on toast) after coming in late in the evening. "After theatre supper" comes to mind if you are really posh.
Only me and youngest home so will eat whatever comes to hand - she's studying, I will be working (when I can move).
Question Author
